Tatarstan Academy of Sciences

May 19, 2017, a delegation of scientists from the The Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), headed by Dr. Fan Jianping, Director of SIAT, visited Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.

President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences M. Salakhov, Vice-President of the TAS V. Khomenko, director of the TAS Institute of Advanced Studies, M. Tagirov, academician-secretary of the TAS Department of Medical and Biological Sciences O.Ilyinsky, academician-secretary of the TAS Department of Physics, Energy, Earth Sciences L.Tagirov are welcomed the guests and discussed the pressing issues.

One of the key topics of the meeting was the discussion of cooperation issues between the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, on further scientific interaction, the possibility of sharing experiences in promoting and popularizing fundamental science. In the future it is planned to conclude agreements on cooperation and possible visits of delegations to China by the scientists of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. It was noted that CAS attaches great importance to international relations and regards them as a recipe for success and an effective means for the development of science and for solving global problems. The Academy has extensive and varied forms of cooperation and partnership with scientists all over the world, including Russia.
